To anyone in Toronto, I'd highly recommend Hair on the Avenue (.ca and @ Twitter with that exact name). Can't link.

Very much top class. It's a little over $100 (probably upward of $70 for men) for the directors or senior stylists but worth every penny. I'd recommend Tony Pham. Some of our news anchor ladies visit there too regularly and it gets positive press all-around.

Ernesto from Salon Solis is amazing too.

$25 at a local barber. they use a straight blade to shave your neck and texturize your hair so I really like going there. I've gone three times and got my hair cut by threee different guys and they all did amazing jobs.

@mokuren: Meh, that's different though. For hairspray, you're guaranteed to use like AT LEAST 2 sprays per use.

I go to a barbershop, for just a cut without shave is $17 and I just give them a $20 bill. I get my hair cut every 2-3 weeks, gotta stay fresh for the ladies.

People who go to First Choice or Magicuts need to upgrade.

So you get back at him by giving your maple character long hair? Diabolical.

(I'm a guy)
I get a hair cut every month to six weeks. I keep it short and in a presentable style where I can change from faux hawk to businessman in seconds.

About $16 with usually $4 tip.

Mom was a hairstylist, get it free.
Were that not the case, however, I'd spend no less than $25 investing in myself finding a legit men's barber.
