I think Aran is a boy because when I looked at the Aran job page, it referred to him as a He not a She so I'm assuming it's a boy. But it really doesn't matter... But if Aran was a girl, how is she able to pick up that polearm?

This is what I think from when Aran was released to Luminous on the way
Aran was the Guardian of the Group. Fought till injured then forced to protect. He was in Rein after he was frozen. Frued died but His Dragon escaped and gave birth to Mir. Frued reincarnated into Evan. He found his dragon and once again reigned as a Dragon Master. Mercedes awoke in Elluel and realized the Black Mages curse had put her asleep for thousands of years. She came across Evan and realized it was Frued. So she had began to learn her skills again. Phantom was lost and not really known among the Five. He was rescued by his team upon the Luminere. He had all his assistants to help him regain his strength. He had watched upon Empress Cygnus.

I was thinking the same thing because in (i think) evan's story line, freud took afrien's egg to hide it someplace, but in the main story line it says he jumped in front of an attack meant for Afrien and died.

Aran is advertised as Male in GMS as I said before, but since in KMS it was MAINLY advertised as female, the content in the game shows it as female. If you remember a long time ago there was a commercial on T.V for Arans in the United States. (Male). Then you look at the chaos trailer that KMS created and Aran is female.

I think nexon keeps forgetting what gender aran is and in some quests he/she is a guy and other parts he/she is a girl. In silent crusade questline the aran npc is a guy and in the future kms luminous beginning quest line you see aran as a girl.

My guess is Aran was intended to be canonically male, but they switched it to female to keep up with the pattern. If anyone else has noticed, all branches have instructors that have 3 males and 2 females.
