How? I celebrate the Lunar New Year as well, but this New Year is universally accepted throughout the modern world. You might as well say that you're not in the year 2012/2013 right now (depending on your time zone) if you're going to say this is insensitive.

That's really silly. There is no reason to be so sensitive about New Year o.o. Chinese people celebrate it a month later. Okay... not everyone on this site is Chinese.
