Archer Showa Boss Guide - In Depth MelliMelon of Bellocan here, (of Resonance!). I made an in-depth (turned out to be quite long too... sorry 'bout that) video guide on how to solo all the showa bosses (view it here). Here's the youtube video description: I don't think there's much to say about this video. I realized my last guide missed a lot of information and I've also noticed that many archer's don't know how to effectively puppet The Boss. This guide is applicable to all classes to a certain extent, but most of the information in the guide is on puppeting. Shortcuts: BGA 0:25, BGB 2:14, The Boss 2:55 If you want a shorter, text version of the BGA guide, go to my other video [url=htt

Open forum on Ascension for Marksmen EDIT: The first and third of my questions are also for BM's I suppose... I just have too much class pride. EDIT: I'm "MelliMelon" and "HowiSWorks" (capital i though) on Tespia. Buddy if you want. EDIT: for those of you asking about EB: see my new thread here. You said "1) Illusion Step's evasion chance works exactly like Shadow Shifter, complete with animation and F2. However, when Illusion Step's evasion triggers, it will not trigger the 100% crit for 1 second effect. I ran multiple tests on this. Don't know if this is intentional or a bug." But I never got the smile, and all

Evasion Boost: A test of 2000 hits [header]Somewhat shorter version[/header] 15.9% avoid without EB and 17.5% avoid with evasion boost, as opposed to the calculated 18%, with a sample size of 1000 with each. [header]The long-winded version[/header] So I decided to test the effects of Evasion Boost (EB). My avoid on this Tespia character is 544. Accuracy of Leprechaun (1) is 25 (from H.S.). Avoid = sqrt(544) - sqrt(25) Roughly equal to 18%. So what I did was count the number of times I was hit in a row WITHOUT EB. Just so you can check I didn't make any errors, here is my data: 7 1 4 0 5 0 1 5 1 3 3 2 5 8 0 3 1 0 4 5 5 3 1 4 2 6 0 4 10 2 3 1 4 3 0 0 11 4 4 3 4 0 24 9 9 9 3 1 3 0 2 1 4 1 3 3 8 4 24 20 7 9 1 1 5 0 1 1 23 15 7 5 5 0 8 1 15 10 1

How evasion skills work. The sad reality EDIT: It seems that IS was just glitched for me, and it DOES help (seemingly like Shadow Shifter). By MelliMelon: First I will start with the facts that I gathered from Tespia at Bearwolves: Bearwolves have 169 accuracy. (says HS and Basil) Without EB or IS, with 56 dex and 291 avoid: I got hit 100/100 times at Bearwolves. (Expected: 96/100. See my interpretations for explanation) With 1 EB (~2% miss chance) and no IS (291 avoid, 56 dex): I got hit 100/100 times at Bearwolves (Expected: 96/100 - 2% so around 94/100) With 1 EB and 27 IS (313 avoid and 93 dex): I got hit 100/100 times at bearwolves. (Expected: 95/100 - 2% - 27% so around 66/100) After adding my stats (655 avoid and 631 dex, 1 EB
