1M Snipe vs. Chaos Snipe I'm back! Did some calculations on what range is necessary for your snipe to be AS GOOD AS it is now. Assumptions: Snipe is 1M damage now. Snipe is 900%*4 (all crits) after chaos Said character has 30MMB and 30SE (i.e. 135% min crit and 180% max crit) Assuming that 1/2 of the time you will hit your minimum range damage and 1/2 of the time you will hit your maximum damage. Assuming that 1/2 of the time you will hit your minimum critical and 1/2 of the time your maximum critical. To calculate the average damage of a snipe, we can calculate 9.00*4(ave crit dmg) (ave crit dmg)=1/2(criticaldmg/minrange)+1/2(criticaldmgmaxrange) criticaldmg/minrance=1/2(1.35*minrange)+1/2(1.8*minrange) criticaldmg/maxrange=1/2(1.35*maxran

Mellimelon's Marksman Guide This guide, which started out as a skill guide, has turned into a general 4th Job Marksman discussion and information thread, including various damage calculations for almost anything you can conceive. Feel free to comment with ideas for additions, questions, or comments :) All of my information and data is from using Hidden-Street's skill descriptions and my own Big Bang damage converter. During this guide I will refer to a % dmg increase. This is how much you will improve in a level by doing a certain thing. This will be calculated using a fake character with 120 strength, 700 dex, 180 attack, 45% critical rate (i.e. what you should all have before SE), 110% minimum critical damage, 150% maximum critical damage

Conclusive answer to quotShould I make a UE MMquot MelliMelon EDIT: Title: "Conclusive answer to the question: "Should I make a UE MM?" (MelliMelon) (Apparently Basilmarket has an interesting way of interpreting my title...) View the full version on my Basilmarket guide here TLDR version: UE MM are totally worth it and kick butt. Summarized from guide (in guides you can insert .png images and tables. Here I cannot) Here's a faux table saying how much better UE marksman (who follow my 1v1 build) are than normal MM (who follow my pierce build). This is the mean (average) of how much better they are from levels 120 to 165 (at 166 the builds even out). 1v1 and 1v2 - 1

Easy experience for 2x - Showa Bosses Short version: BGA/BGB is the best way to spend this 2x. Long version: I'll tell you why. So I know a lot of this has been going around recently, especially in the marksman forum, so please feel free to click out of this thread right now. However, I've found that many marksmen don't know about (or know accurate information about) the showa bosses. Fact: I can get 25% in 45 minutes by killing body guard A (BGA) and body guard B (BGB). -Note: my only exceptional equipment is my 30% boss 156att VIP xbow. All the rest are 3% dex or 100%ed stuff. -Note: This is with 1.2x, so this does not mean I can get 50% during 2x. -Note: I am currently lvl 154 as I write this. EDIT: My range is about

Marksman DPM Calculator *Insert Evil Laugh Here* I have reached a new height in mathematical mapley nerdiness! I have completed a (semi)comprehensive excel spreadsheet that will do all my dirty work for me. You can download it here at my maplestory blog. As always, tell me what you think, as I enjoy editing things to get closer to perfection. On a side note, if some of the calculations don't seem right or contradict what I stated elsewhere in my guide (here, PLEASE let me know so I can find the error.

DB 10 Bellocan - The Best Way (to get it) So... I'm now a level 13x MM, and I still don't have Dragon Breath (which you get by doing the El Nath pq, for which you need a warrior without the skill "stance" to lead, for all those out there who don't know). What's the best way to go about getting it? Should I just spam B> DB 10 or L> Stanceless warrior in fm and/or my store title? Should I scream on forums online? Should I look on MTS? Should I... You tell me. Cuz I want it, finally :P

The Knight's Stronghold. A disappointment 1) The exp of the guys is pretty pitiful compared to LKC. Leaching, I would only get about 40k experience on each guy. 2) They're really fast, and attack like losers. 3) They do a lot of touch damage. 4) Open only to 160+, so in smaller worlds it will be hard to find a party. Although I DID discover a way of training that would appreciate (a little unedited footage here) Your thoughts?

MM done whining? The future of our class: Bossing Ok, so like many of you in between 130-150, I'm really quite disappointed with post BB training. However, I've decided to make the necessary adjustments to secure my future as a MM in this world. The solution: don't train. Ok, it's more of a "Don't mob gallos till you die". With the new experience curve, bossing is much more effective. What am I doing? I'm ditching pierce and getting MMS, US, SE, MMB, and snipe. Just gonna pap, pianus and zak till I drop! In reality this is much more exciting of a build, and we can always get pierce if we feel like showing off. Because let's face it, doing 1M dmg at lvl 140 IS fun, but we need very specific conditions and I'm not satisfied 1HKOing
