Musical Bigotry In Todays Society
Why is everyone so hostile towards other peoples musical tastes?
It seems in youtube video comments and other forums that people believe that their taste in music is the one true style of music and everyone should conform to their musical tastes.
I listen to a lot of metalcore and deathcore and alot of people respond to these styles of music by something along the lines of "wtf is the screamo [censor], go listen to real music".
I mean if the music interacts in a way with my brain that causes my to enjoy it, then why cant people see that i and other people enjoy it and not feel compelled to slander our musical tastes.
