Stomach pains lasting all day?

I know I hate when people ask Basil for stupid medical advice so I'm making this a little different.

All day today (since I woke up 16 hours ago) I've been having pain in my stomach, about an inch or two above my belly button. You know how when you don't eat for a long time and you get that occasional "FEED ME!" pain that goes away in a minute or when you eat? It's kind of like that except it happens about every minute and sometimes makes me lose my breath. And I've eaten today (at least three big meals) and I still feel it.

Has this happened to anyone else? It hardly feels severe enough to go to a doctor or the hospital, but it is getting annoying. I'm sure if it's still this way tomorrow I'll go see a doctor.

Sidenote; don't you think it's weird that the English language has evolved so much and we still call it a belly button?

It could be pretty much anything.. only one who can really tell for sure is a doctor of course. It might not feel all that severe but I don't think stomach pains are supposed to cause you to lose your breath. Only thing I suggest is that you see a doctor.. and well of course to be fair to everyone who makes threads of these kinds, this has to be locked like all the others since there is "no medical doctor on staff" so.. sorry Mythos, gonna have to lock this up. I hope you feel better soon though. ^_^

Your appendix is going to burst.
I dunno. Although if it really is your appendix, you'll probably feel it more to the side rather than above the belly button.[/quote]

Yeah. Every site I've been to says that it's bad if the pain is on the side or travels to your back, or if the pain is severe enough to make you cry. Neither of these things are happening. On a scale of 1-10 I'd say it's just a 3. It's just annoying because it's near constant and going on 16 hours.
