Canadian Pennies Gone Extinct
Farwell pennies. As of around 9:50 PM, about 2 hours after of the surging game of the Super Bowl, Google made a doodle about them as well. Pennies will stop distributing on Monday.

They'll still show up in my change.
At most business they will still accept them in denomonations of 5, but businesses can't order them anymore, so once they run out of them (Ie they give them to the bank every week) They will be gone in a few years probably.

Good, I hate pennies anyway.
I hope they run out of circulation. Probably just going to keep a really shiny one, the proceed to toss the rest in the garbage where they belong.

I thought they stopped producing them months ago
As a canadian i've been waiting for this for so long, now i just have to wait for the new 5 to come out.
In before foreigners paying way more than a penny to have their very own "extinct" Canadian penny.
