United States citizens should overthrow the government

We really should.
I don't really think many people see what's wrong with the country, but to be honest, It would be nice for a change of pace.
I mean our 'chosen' representatives are just so idiotic that 90% of the teens and young adults of this country could do a much better job.
Getting rid of our current government and filling it with young individuals with fresh new ideals, completely replacing all old ones would be much better for.. everyone.
Honestly the only flaw is that eventually as times change we'd have to make ourselves optimistic enough to adapt to the world, unlike our current group of people.
I will be leader of this new United States, and you all can join me as my equals. (Trying to say we'll all be leaders because we'll all have a say, y'know?)
But anyways, bad comparisons aside, something honestly needs to be done. I see on the news every day about how lawmakers won't pass gun laws just so they can secure their selfish jobs and get re elected by the redneck hicks who make up 70% of this country.
Then you see people on (Basilmarket), of all places, that just go and propose new ideas that would actually work, and a lot of other people in our age group completely agree.. but why aren't they happening? Because we mean literally nothing to this country. Old men and corrupt politicians will rule this country forever if we don't do anything.

How's that for my speech when I rally the country's youth to take over the US Government? Does it seem like it would work?
I actually believe all of that stuff, but for my English class I have to write a speech..

I know absolutely nothing about actual politics, but this is what I've picked up on over the past few weeks.
Questions:
-Is the speech good?
-Can you see my point?
-Can you relate?
-Is it well written?
-Do you agree with it?
-Would I be fit to lead? (LOL)
Three things:
A change of pace doesn't really justify completely removing the government. Otherwise all citizens of all countries would be justified and that would just be anarchy.
Second, you're promising the exact same thing other leaders promise, but never actually do.
Also, many of the ideas proposed on Basil are extremely idealistic and probably wouldn't work.
Idealistic maybe, but it shows how open minded young people actually are.
Sure, some are just plain stupid, but some actually make sense.

TL;DR Just gonna reply on the title.
Government = = Corruption. Power to the people. Take an example.
Everyone knows that there's strength in numbers. Instead of fighting each other, the gangs should stand up to the REAL enemy -- the government. The power of thinking as a group could be used to force the government to live up to its promises for many people who need and deserve the help.

In 1896 Emporer Menelik II unified the peoples of Ethiopia to defeat & expel the Italian invaders in the Battle of Adwa. This occured in the context of the "Scramble for Africa", in which European Nations divided the continent up among themselves, invading en masse in a blitzkreig of colonial genocide.
The Battle of Adwa remains a glorious victory for indigenous struggles around the world. An example of disparate "gangs" unifying and winning against a centralized state power of superior technology & force.

Not sure if this is racist or not.

@ExinityRebirth: I tend to associate with a lot of rather intelligent people at my school.
Maybe it's just that the 80% are just trying to fit in.

@hooplah123: Got any tips on how to get 99% of the population on the US to blindly follow my lead?

@Tortoise -
I think you're all forgetting that this is a speech that only my idiotic English teacher will read. All that's needed is for her to be able to relate to it, not good.
Because letting people who say "YOLO, and SWAG" onto the world's most powerful government is a smart idea
Those fools are the 10% I didn't include.
At least the ones who actually believe it are. Most just do it to stay 'cool'. Lots of people actually have the ability to use their brain, despite how dumb they may seem.

@NuggetsOnCrack - pls.
