I'm actually considering playing an attack based class now that they are finally doing something about duped equips. I do have to admit its going to be an adjustment seeing legit stuff inflate to old prices but at least we wont need to shell out hundreds of dollars for 30 att masks on GS that every other person has to be decent anymore <3.

Meh, I don't think I'll quit anytime soon to be honest. I mean, I wasted so much time and there are still so many achievements and goals I haven't accomplished yet. Though soon patches are lame and full of disappointments, I just learn to cope with it. Even though I haven't been playing as much as I used to when I was a kid(I play like every months now, or when vacation comes), coming home and playing maple was probably the radest thing to do for me. Don't look at the negative side of Maple all the time, because you guys always do that. Look at the positive side for once.

I hate this move because no one benefited.

@Dorks: The only way to legitimately scroll something is to buy WS from the CS, which is unfair to those who dont buy NX(unless they buy NX which again is breaking the rules). I disagree, nexon's events have sucked and keep sucking, they also do things VERY late. Imagine how much less dmg would've occurred if they'd taken the items out earlier. 27atks can be legitimately scrolled with illegitimate scrolls so they should be left untouched. If they are removed every other illigetimately scrolled item should be removed, leaving the game with weapons scrolled by Nx qhores.

I find it hilarious that everyone is quitting now that Nexon is finally doing their job. Boo hoo.

@AoiHorizon: I realize that if stupidly strong equips could be duped, so could normal items like scrolls. And this is just imo but they have been stepping up with their events, handing things out like candy. I finished my Phantom's cane by earning Renegade coins and there will be more events just like it.
It's unfortunate some people are stuck on to such a system but again, despite how terrible Nexon is at addressing things like this (and quickly I might add), it has always been a given that it is not the right thing to do.

Perhaps I just have too much pride.

Lmao you'd be surprised at how many things have been duped. There is almost no telling anymore unless u cubed and scroll everything urself which takes too much mesos./NX. If we were to take everything scrolled with illiget scrolls we'd be left with almost nothing.

And, I got so used to duped items, (though I didn't even touch one until maybe a few weeks before I quit), that I just stopped considering/worrying about the possibility that they would suddenly remove everything one day. Oh well, LOL. I mean, I think I'd like the change if I went back, minus the lack of friends. It's like hitting the reset button on the game. I remember it being really hard to merch items before I quit because everyone refused to buy decent non-duped items simply because they just weren't as good as duped ones.

@DavidLe: Consider the fact that many basilers are young, and therefore maple is/was a part of their childhood. If you're attacking me directly, I just enjoy wording things well enough to make my point stronger and arguments or defenses more persuasive. Knowing how to write is actually a really useful skill. Why do you care if I'm using it on a gaming forum? Additionally, if you're studying psychology or sociology, maple can prove to be a really useful model.

@supernoob: I thought it was always a given that duped things will eventually be deleted. They're not obligated to give notice. It's been against the rules to own duped things in the first place. It's not like it's hard to know which is a real item vs a duped one.

I know . Do you read time travel fiction? (Personally, I've only read Time Machine, meh, but I do think about these things to myself all the time). Something I was talking to my friend about was the possibility of creating a supercomputer that could keep track of the state of every particle in the universe. This would render us able to predict the future (minus the entropy that may or may not be caused by autonomous beings). If we can't time travel, being able to predict the future is the next best thing!

kinda mixed on quitting or not.. on the other hand i dont really like how the game is becoming since the recent sweep making a lot of people i know quit and what i have read from the KMS december update wasnt really appealing to me anymore, that direction they are going i kinda dont see myself going there. At the same time I dont cuz of the new upcoming content plus i wanna keep those remaining people i have to not quit too

I've been on and off ever since the big bang update. I won't lie, the game has become alot less fun. I feel like henny hoes are actually kinda nice people. but everyone else either asks for money or talks about how bad your dmg is... the quests now are insanely easy. PQs are also watered down. Bosses die too quickly... And i feel like i've obliged to buy NX more and more to stay up with the game's economy D: I've now spent 50 dollars in my entire maple career (2005-2012), the 50 all spent this year. The maps are really made for the convenience of the player rather than the challenge for the player. Finally, although I love how much more Nexon is improving their hackers and bugs, it seems much slower than it was back in 2007-2008. All and all, I do believe that maplestory can still make it through in the coming years... but for now, the game isn't where it should be.

@hzag1: That's not the issue at hand. They're too bipolar in their policies. If they're going to be strict with their anti-cheater policies, then so be it, and vice versa. But, they shouldn't just suddenly reverse their silent endorsement of cheating. Nothing bothers me more than indecisive people. I once tried reporting hacked items to Nexon, but they just closed down my threads after having done nothing.

@darksnuggles: Never uninstalled maple because it's on my VM which i'm too lazy to turn on anyways because my processor can't handle the stress anymore. But, I quit because they're just suddenly completely reversing their, as I worded above, silent endorsement of cheating/indirect cheating. Many of my friends quit as a consequence, so it's just not worth even logging on to talk to people anymore.

@Dorks: They didn't change their rules. They just suddenly decided to delete all the duped items which they had blatantly ignored before. Consider the fact that many of your friends may have quit because of this wiping, which is the reason that I am personally quitting.

I quit playing Mario Kart wii and haven't been on a mario kart wiii forum site since 2011. Basically to clarify it for you. You dumped this boy and you don't love him anymore but you're always seeing what's new about him on his Facebook page and always thinking about him.
