Like two years back or so i used to ride in the back of a pickup with my friends around the lake we live near and stuff and nothing ever happened (And i live on a bumpy rocky road) But it is dangerous..

my friend's dad who's a cop said ~apparently~ it's legal if all the seats & seat belts inside the cab are taken. If you're sitting in the box you have to have your back against the window.

If I recall correctly, it's illegal if you aren't sitting in a seat with a seat belt.

I don't know if that is illegal or not, but no one should do it. It's dangerous. Last week somebody I know in my high school fell off of a truck doing that and hit his head. He's been in a coma since then, and he doesn't have a good chance of coming out of it. So, don't do it.
