When you want to call a pizza as its whole, so do you call it a pie?

I think it's probably regional. That is, in New York it's a "pie". In the Midwest it's a "pizza".
Just like on the East Coast it's "soda" and in the Midwest it's "pop".
...I just say pizza. o-o
If I referred to one slice, I'd just say "pizza slice".
