Ignore Def vs Boss
This is probably the 69th thread on this topic, but after looking through all the others I still lack a proper explanation. What I gathered so far:
#1 Ignore % Def has diminishing returns (IE having 3 items with Ignore 30% Def =/= Ignore 90% Def)
#2 Boss % is addictive (IE having 3 items with Boss 30% = 90% increase of damage against bosses)
So my question is:
At what % does Ignore Def most optimal
or
What's the best % Boss : Ignore % Def ratio for the maximum DPS against high HT, PB, CHT, Empress, etc?
The relation works as an asymptotic function.
If a boss has more than or equal to around 70% PDR reduction, PDR is better overall than boss.
This applies mainly for magnus/pb/cygnus/chaos pink bean (MASSIVELY important here).
Say a boss has 50% damage reduction. If you have 50% pdr, you do not cancel it out. To remove the damage reduction, you need to obtain 100% PDR.
>30% leafre set, class skill, nebulites.
In my phantoms case, since I hit max with mille a. regardless of what I'm doing, I decided to stick a couple of 15% nebs onto my cane and card.
It ends up looking bad, but 100% PDR definitely outweighs bossing damage in the long run.
Pdr is important, along with boss. You do know that even with 100% pdr you don't ignore the 50% damage reduction. Pb, Empress, etc.. Have both 50% damage reduction and 70% pdr. You need to have at least 50% boss and 100% pdr to not receive a damage nerf.
pdr caps out at 100% while boss damage doesnt.. depending on what you do with you character your choice.. for me i do boss damage cus well i boss and i want to kill them faster.. mobs i kill fast allready so yea xD
