I found out my church doesnt believe in science
I go to church to help at the children's mass for community hours, and today was a very interesting discussion. Now, I thought most churches believed God MADE science, but an old- school wrinkly woman helper named Ms. Nikki showed me otherwise. Here's how the lesson went:
Ms.Nikki (talking about Atheists): Now, some people don't believe in God. They think the earth blew up and the trees and lava from the rocks just formed naturally!
Random seven year old gets called on: I don't get it. How could anyone not believe in God? Who made the trees and the mountains and the grass then?
Ms. Nikki: See? Exactly. We have proof all around us that God exists.
I, myself, do not believe in the crap they teach, so I was just laughing in the background. And the other old lady helpers called me a prophet, haha.
Anyway: Thoughts?

I would like to go to a church like that. There aren't many zoos nearby here.
Now ask them about the mutating flu virus and why Noah didn't take the dinosaurs.
Prophet,
Profit?
@taotapp Intercourse with a child and teaching a child religion are completely different things. The former is complete abuse and torture of the innocent child, the latter is just trying to make them accept your beliefs.
Both cases force something onto a child that leaves long lasting and often permanent impressions, long before the child is capable of providing any consent.
If you want to get into abuse, we can bring up religion's more extreme cases of disregarding vaccinations and sheltering child molesters.

When they bring up the topic "God protects us all, at all times"
Ask them "What about the kids in Africa?"

The same should be done for religion.
Hi I agree with you.
Misleading title: Change "science" to "evolution" for accuracy. This is just the age old argument between creationism and evolution. Nothing new here.
