So I have yet to find a good laptop for college I made a thread in the past but the laptops didn't fit me. Now it's summer and times up for a new laptop. My budget is around 600 bucks but of course it would be nice if I could spend less. My major is going to be computer science. I don't know if computer science will require any demanding programs though. I'm not going to be playing any video games at all on it. As long as I can do computer science stuff and watch anime in HD i'll be fine. I'd also like if it is light weight and good battery life. TLDR Budget: $600 Major: Comp Sci Uses: Anime in HD quality, Comp Sci stuff/programming, Surf Web Wants: Light weight, Good battery life for college NO VIDEO GAMES

Got new laptop. How do I keep the battery healthy? I heard its bad to leave the computer charging at 100% so I charge the laptop to 100% and then unplug it till it gets to around 20% and then I recharge it back to 100% and then unplug it till it get to 20% and repeat. Before bed, I turn off my laptop with whatever % that it is at and leave it unplugged throughout bedtime (should I plug it in before I get into bed? regardless of %?) When I wake up I turn it on and if it is at 20% then I'll charge if it is above then I'll wait till it gets to 20% and then charge it. Is this a good routine to keep the battery healthy or is there another routine that is better? I want this battery to last because my last laptop's battery dies after 2 minutes.
