Animes that make you feel the feels
So I convinced my friend to watch Guilty Crown. He hated me for it because of the ending and told me he was going to kill me. He told me it broke him. Other than that, he liked the anime. Now I'm trying to get him to watch Code Geass, which is basically like Guilty Crown but longer with a better story and better characters. It's also a lot sadder than Guilty Crown so I definitely need him to watch it. I want him to break down and cry from watching it. After Code Geass I'll get him to watch Clannad and just utterly destroy his existence. So yeah, I need to convince him since he doesn't want to watch a 50 episode anime.
Any other feely feel animes to recommend to my friend so I can make him cry like an infant?
watch the whole series of rurouni kenshin. its amazingly good
and was one of the very few animes that made me shed a few
man tears in some scenes.
TS, definitely do what that guy suggested. If you can't watch the Kenshin series, at least watch the Samurai X OVA.
Pita Ten, very random but the ending...gahhhh
@bePig: Huehuehue. I winnnnnnnnnnnnn.
@bePig: I didn't watch it though.
So it doesn't count. o:
Dur!
I think almost every anime I've watched has made me cry with the exception of animes that focuses on sex > story.
@bePig: ..
no
C:
you lose~
@TheATMchoker:
I thought it was a great anime. Not the best but still pretty good.
The only animes that have given me feels are Angel Beats and Chuunibyou.
Then again I haven't seen a whole lot.
Lol, Angel Beats.
Lol @ the guy suggesting School Days.
Here's a good mix of shounen and feels: Katanagatari.
Toradora!
Steins;Gate
Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica
Welcome to the NHK
Elfen Lied
Clannad (obviously)
Full Metal Alchemist (not Brotherhood, the original had much more feels)
For movies, just look at all Miyazaki.
@vengfulboi: Code Geass's storyline was almost as whack as Guilty Crown. Guilty Crown focused a lot on character development, and the plot was actually really good if you bothered to unravel it. Code Geass did have more feels though, just because of all the plot twists.
A lot of people diss Naruto Shippuuden... But you have to admit that the show pulls off deaths really well. Every death gave me feels.
But I wouldn't recommend that. It's up to like 300 eps or something now.
Last episode of season 2 of Black Butler... Sebastian feels.
Code Geass...almost made me cry.
ELFEN LIED DEAR GOD THOSE FEELS.
Anohana. And if he found Guilty Crown sad, any Key anime.
Hm, none of these anime suggestions appeal to me at all. I just finished guilty crown and it was the best thing i ever watched, anime-wise. I need more anime that are similar to guilty crown or at least animation style wise. I can't bear old anime styles.... i'm more of a modern guy.
I really would recommend Code Geass to you but the animation is a little bit old. I do have to say that the OST and art for Guilty Crown was amazing, but in terms of story and character development, Code Geass > Guilty Crown.
@bePig: Kay.
.. When I want to cry. -3-
which isn't now.
@bePig:
OHMAHGOODNESS YOU'RE SO MEAN.
Some nice basiler decided to tell me that "Bible Black" is actually gross stuff.
hmm.
You'resomeannnnnn. suggesting gross stuff to meeeeeeeeeeeeeee.
gosh. horrible.

Welcome to the NHK!
Dang, I feel like rewatching it now.
off the top of my head,
definitely Clannad & its sequel.
I must say though, everything i've watched has made me cry at some point.
@BoiFeiFei: Indeed
School Days
I doubt he will watch those animes.
This is what I'm having trouble with. He isn't very open to anime he isn't familiar with. I barely got him to watch Guilty Crown.
Ano hana
Clannad
The only two that got me to shred a tear.
I doubt he will watch those animes.
Welcome to the NHK.
Sounds like it has a lot of potential for being a heart-wrenching anime. Will consider watching it myself and hopefully my friend will too.
Welcome to the NHK.
One Piece. The part with the Going Merry, and the part with Ace and Whitebeard. I almost drowned in the feels
He won't even watch a 50 episode anime. One piece is like nearly 600 episodes. No way in hell he's going to watch it lol even I don't want to bother catching up.

I looked up that anime and it sounds really good. I might watch it myself.
Too many animes to watch. He'll never finish all of them.
AnoHana and Angel Beats.
angel beats wasn't that sad, except for that parting song
Ano Hana was pretty sad.
you spelled bad wrong.
Angel Beats
Clannad
Girl who leapt through time.. dat ending
I'm going to make him watch all three in a matter of days and just ruin him.
i really felt for Tsuruko and Poppo in Ano Hana, but overall the anime didn't make me that sad. Kaiba was a really profound and sad experience for me, mostly because I've watched the beginning episodes more than I have the later ones.
Ano Hana was pretty sad.
Angel Beats
Clannad

Boku no Pico gave me some serious feels.
There's a lot of animes here I haven't even seen myself.
@pinoymystic TOO MANY FEELS!
@HotAir My other friend watched that anime. He said it was pretty good so I'll give it a try and force my friend to watch it too.
AnoHana, make me teary.
@Wintermelon Did you read the manga ending to it? You should because the anime cut out the very end of it.
@Mapling I need to watch Angel Beats because my other friend keeps pressuring me to. I want to watch Elfen Lied but it's not something I can watch with other people around.
from what i heard:
5cm per second
Ano Hana
Ano Natsu
Usagi Drop
I haven't seen Angel Beats or Air but I heard they're really sad. I'll watch it with him and we both can cry.
Mirai Nikki and School Days are sad but the crazy aspect of those animes just overwhelms everything else.
I didn't cry when I watched Air, but Angel Beats teared me up.
Oh, have you watched Elfen Lied? That's pretty sad too, but it's pretty gory.
Try Mirai Nikki lololol
all i felt was rage and disappointment

The only feels I got from that anime were from Uryuu's happy ending.
OT: Clannad will always give me feels.
Angel Beats was sad. I really enjoyed it though.
Hmm...Air? lol
