question for people who had braces
do you guys still wear your retainers
i heard retainers are a life time thing LOL...
i had an overbite so my teeth cant go back into position phew
(i never got retainers in the first palce)

Yes I still do only at night though when I sleep..
I have upper and lower retainers
I got a new retainer in the past year or two for the top, it's like a retainer but also a bite guard. Got it because I apparently grind my teeth in my sleep so this stops it
I only wear the bottom one like once every two weeks
I wore my retainer for several years after I t got my braces taken off. I stopped wearing it when I stopped growing, because my teeth really won't change anymore.
I have a perm bottom retainer it is behind the teeth so it can't be seen.
Wore the plate all day for about a year, now I only need to wear it at night when I go to sleep.

that's a horrible attitude to have
You usually wear them all day/night long for the first 2 years and then after that you only wear them at when you go to bed. That's what I've been told though.
I'm supposed to be wearing them but I lost them. Its been about five years and I wish I still had them. My teeth have now moved and I'll probably have to have braces again but no one in my family cares so I guess I won't.
