Where to start back up?
I finally made the jump and quit about a year ago, and now I want to get back in the loop a little. I don't really plan on playing too much, but anyways.
What has happened in the past year? I remember I logged in a few times to see the 5-hit attack (is that it?) and was happy that I could do some damage, even with my minimal equips.
Anyways, what should I do? I want to be able to earn some mesos and get some terrible equipment, (not sure of what I even have left,) and play a bit. I was always a noob, my 164(?) hero having an ~11k range buffed, at best. Yes, I am aware that is terrible. I did manage to pull off a zak solo in 42 minutes though
And one last thing: What's the new OMG SO OP class? There has apparently been a few new ones...
Any new completely OP and end-game items?
tl;dr I decided I don't want to have a life anymore, how to make money and what's happened.

Here's a thread with tips on how to increase your range: http://www.basilmarket.com/forum/2744824. I would also try doing monster park extreme on 70-140 warrior characters to get 4-6% str equips also.
For getting mesos, take advantage of events. Check the FM to see what's selling, buy a permit and gather similar items to sell yourself. The current OP class is the newly revamped cygnus. They are now able to level to 250 like the other classes and they do not need mastery books either (which are mostly all dirt cheap now). The current OP gear is the level 150 root abyss set ( http://maplestory.nexon.net/news/updates/update-notes/00FmM#rootabysssets ), Superior Gollux set ( http://maplestory.nexon.net/news/updates/update-notes/00HDW/v-142-dawnveil-demons-of-tynerum-update-notes#gollux ), and some others I can't list off the top of my head.
