Question for Damage Ranges guide users

Hi peeps,

K SO RIGHT TO THE POINT. Phantom's coming up sometime whenever soonish apparently, and just like with Dual Blades, my plan was to make more space for the Phantoms in the Thief Damage Ranges guide.

However, after giving it some thought, I decided to get outside opinions on whether Phantoms should be added to the general Thief Damage Ranges guide, or should be given their own separate guide (obviously as a thread at first).

Personally I don't care either way, and I assure you that I will become more frequent with the updates as long as I'm getting more submissions. So when deciding, please only consider where you would like to see phantom damage ranges.

THANKS FOR YOUR THOUGHTS

PS - I'm gonna try to make the Thief Damage Ranges guide more basic and less wall-o-text-ish, so keep that in mind when deciding as well. Thanks peeps

Phantoms are thieves. I don't see why they can't be merged with the current guide. If need be, can't you just link the sticky to the current thread in the Phantom section?
Would probably make things easier on my part, but I'm worried that most basilers don't see the general "Thief" section including all thieves, including phantoms...

Also, any ideas on possibly making the guide look better? I've been on the hunt for someone to make a picture for the top of the guide, similar to the 2nd phantom guide, but no one's accepted the request so far. But as far as all the text and quote boxes and all that go, any thoughts?
The first issue is why I sent a ticket to Mr. B asking him to make general class stickies visible in the sub-forums, but he said he'd consider it, and it's been a while, so I guess it's a no go on that. See below for the PM. (on another note, he did make the sub-forum stickies visible in the general class forums...and his main concern with my idea was the stickies section being cluttered? o_O)

I could possibly create a picture for ya, but it probably wouldn't get done for a while since that latino boy @j0s3a4d is cracking the whip on me for not having his Bandit guide banner done yet.

As for aesthetics, it's really severely limited by Basil itself... not much you can really do about it.

It'd be nice if Mr. B reverted to tables' old look, since the new column titles look like butt. It'd also be nice if Mr. B allowed made some functional changes to tables so they'd reorganize based on range/level.

That might be a lot of stickies no?

Your ticket:

Change specific class forums so that stickies for the corresponding branch also displays on the sidebar of the class forum.

e.g. "Thief Damage Ranges" would display above "Bandit Guide" under the "Guides & F.A.Q's" section on the sidebar of the Bandit forum.

This would reduce spam asking questions answered by various class-branch stickies in class-specific forums and direct more attention to said stickies.

My response:

I don't believe that there would be a large issue with the number of stickies displayed. Most, if not all, branch forums have 1-3 stickies in them, and most specific class forums have 1-3 stickies in them as well. That would add up to an average of 3-6 stickies per forum if this were to be implemented. Many

Sidenote: some of the stickies are outdated or redundant and could be removed as well, thereby increasing space if this were to be implemented.
The "Updated" tags show that many stickies haven't been updated in over a year - an example would be "Chief Bandit Techniques and Strategies." This stickie doesn't include many of the changes that have happened with the first Bandit revamp and then Big Bang. There are also many %/hr threads that are no longer updated.
There are also redundant guides that post SP builds that are already present (or, in fact, there may be even better ones) in other guides, such as "Shadower SP Build," which has an inferior and outdated build compared to the one posted in "Bandit Guide."
