Hello Mapler,
I am sorry to hear that you have experienced this issue. Unfortunately, we do not fully support the Windows 8 OS as of yet. Once this becomes more of an option it will be listed on the website, but until then, if you are able to get it running, stability is unfortunately not guaranteed and performance can vary wildly between different machines.
Of course our goal is for as many people to be able to enjoy MapleStory as possible. Please keep an eye out on our website and forums for any updates regarding this at:

yaaaaaaaaaaa, I know exactly what he means lol.
I got mine working with gamelauncher on a win8 64bit.
but it crashes randomly...
sometimes no error
sometimes hackshield "speed hack related"
login is a pain, crashing 2-3 times from hackshield "unknown error" before finally working
yeah i know that and i know theres a way to bypass the hack shield with windows 8 on your laptop but it doesnt work anymore for me so im just gonna try steam for now and try to get it to work on windows 8

oh yeah i forgot about steam im gonna try that now will it work for the website ? cause i cant play maple using the game launcher

how did you get it to work i cant seem to get it to work and i have to use the website to launch maplestory
