Forum layout is not intuitive I'm back after years and see the site has a new 'sleek responsive' layout. It's really hard to process the forum information/threads and makes the general browsing of the site a real pain. Just some feedback - I wish thread lists had more information about which forum/board they were in, number of replies, time posted, user who posted it, etc. Atm it's just like a big giant spreadsheet-esque list of threads and not an intuitive browsing experience, if I click to see thread in 'site' or 'chat' or 'general' they all look identical. Even when posting i nearly missed where to enter the thread title because it was greyed out and difficult to see that was the thread title area. I think UX could do with a revamp.
Forum search does not work. I used to search my username using the forum search so I could easily find who has quoted me and reply to them - I'm noticing though that the search function isn't working. Has it been like this for a wee while or is this a new sort of thing? Just makes replying to posts a little bit harder sometimes.
Tried to update my playing times, now the player has gone. Hi, I tried to update my playing times for Oceayo to say "Main is Recursyn, 5pm - 2am GMT, BT + 6" for players who were unsure about GMT, and because I can't actually add my main Recursyn. I've already submitted a report about this. It then said this contained invalid characters and I can no longer edit this player, or even add it back to my players list. This is very frustrating as I have auctions to sort out, and the character which is currently listed as my main is a character I no longer play. If someone could fix this it would be greatly appreciated, thanks.
I just got a giant full page ad. One of those interstitial ones with "Click to continue to BasilMarket." What on earth is this? If this isn't a wee trial thing to see how they work out, I'm leaving. Not intending to be overly dramatic or anything, but this is clearly not what users want. Myself and others have stopped using sites before over annoying things like that. It's not the first time it's happened, and certainly won't be the last.
How do I delete a bid? I made a bid on an item, thinking I could delete the bid if I found the item in-game, as I recall being able to delete them when I last used auctions. I found the item in game, but now I can't find an option to delete my bid on this auction. Can someone help me with this? Thanks.
Will I lose medals for this? Freaked out :O Hello there! I deleted two auctions for items that weren't going very well. Some time later, I noticed this on my profile: My face was like this: :O I am just wondering if I will lose medals as a result? As it seems to be implying I posted the message on the site. I have tried very, very hard not to spam/troll/break any forum rules for the many months I've been posting silly things here, so I'd be quite shocked if this led to anything more than a four-hour auction ban (which I'm totally fine with, I'd just like to keep my medals - bit of a crazy perfectionist/completionist streak in me). Thanks and Merry Christmas! :)
Can't access Basil. Using a proxy at the minute. I've tried my two laptops and three different browsers - and all say server not found. The site is obviously up as I'm on it now, so it's not that. There is no way I have managed to block it through my hosts file - as I would have had to do that on both computers, so it's not that. I'm wondering if I'm facing some sort of IP ban? Is anyone else experiencing this? Thanks. Get a posting error when I try to reply via proxy, so I'll edit this: 'course :p Most proxies don't work either, I keep getting these: The requested resource could not be loaded. libcurl returned the error: name lookup timed out Couldn't find address for "www.basilmarket.com".
