I never liked JB or 1D and there's a reason. The fanbase scared the living crap outta me from every listening to them. I'm sure they;re decent singers but I'm not going to listen to them.
Justin Bieber is like a girl so I don't see a problem

i don't think 1D sucks, i just get annoyed at the fangirls in my school. i have to sit next to one in band clas. she brings the magazine and is always showing stuff to her friends and they all fangirl scream together

It's because the songs are generally for women. The lyrics are for women.
Just like someone else said, jb and boybands like one direction are targeted towards females.

Gay people are awesome. And you should listen to whatever music you want. Who cares what they say about it, if you like it, listen to it. If you or they don't, then ignore it and go on.
The word gay does not necessarily mean homo anymore, they just mean your choice of music isn't their type and I guess they don't know how to properly express that. o.o
IMO I don't really care/like popular artists/bands such as Justin Bieber/Nicki Minaj/One Direction, not trying to sound hipster though.
Maybe your friends also find them catchy but they're too wuss to admit it.

Well, the word "gay" has morphed into sort of a catch-all adjective for anything you don't like, so people simply use that to describe the bands that are popular to dislike.
By extension, if you like gay bands, you are gay.
But anyways, the sole deciding factor on your sexuality is what gender you like OP. Don't worry about it.
But, hey, here's advice:
Stop telling people you like Justin Bieber and One Direction.

People who think music is gender based most likely haven't hit puberty yet.
