@Totos: First.
What exactly is Earth Science about? I've never had that offered to me.
Kinda on topic: I'm glad schools seem less competitive in this part of Canada, cause I got like ~85% average and got in with ease to exactly what I wanted.
@SriLankanKen: What do you think of Stuyvesant now?
Did you get into Stuyvesant the first time or the second time? Just wondering.
@SriLankanKen: What do you think of Stuyvesant now?
I know someone in Stuyvesant.
I don't really care for other schools, unless their idoicy directs my school. lol
That being said... I stil think Stuy. is the best high school in Brooklyn...!
@DrHye
Dude, our E.S. techer suck so much ass! ._.
She never went into the fundamental mathematics of sciences in her E.S.
I learned basic mathematical science fundamentals in Physics/Chem and again in AP Chem.
@SriLankanKen: Unless your class is different, Earth Science consists of the basics of future science courses. It goes over general things like sig figs and scientific notation, accuracy/precision and things like that. Then you do some basic chemistry, physics.
That's what my earth science class was, at least
@SriLankanKen: What do you think of Stuyvesant now?
Wow.. teacher helping on Regents -> no news
Student helping on Regents -> weeks of news
ikr lol.. >.>
I know... I regret it so much... Damn my fobbyness back then.
@famousreign and @radkai
For the chem regents. My teacher was proctoring all of my class... except me and a few other students. She helped them cheat indirectly.
Want to know the best part? THEY ALL STILL FAILED OR GOT LOW GRADES. xP
She also "mysteriously" retired after that.
Seems legit. ._.
@famousreign: Cheat what?
Nope Ave. X o.O
Ohh just wondering because I have a friend of mine from elementary school that goes to a HS that calls their semesters "cycles".
Did you fail your Earth Science regents or something? It was kinda hard but I got an 88 on mine. I took it during 8th grade. I'm currently taking Biology.
I would have passed it if they gave it to me ._.
The friggin teacher said: "Oh derpderp you must have 2 whole credits in E.S., you will fail derpderp." e.e
I can't take it now because I don't remember the material. But if I took it then I would have passed with maybe around a 75.
@SriLankanKen: I would be so mad if I got that.
@Totos: John Dewey is a zone school I think.
Just out of curiosity, is your HS near Avenue L 11230 or something.. o.o
Nope Ave. X o.O
Regents is like 1+1. How can you get so low...?
88 on the bio and 84 on the chem isn't low IMO.
o.o
Regents is like 1+1. How can you get so low...?
In any case, you should still take the four basic science classes (which are the ones you listed). If nothing else, they'll be immense help for college classes. My high school physics class can be referred back to all the time in the two physics classes I took/am taking in college
All that are offered in my school are the following:
Bio
Chem
Physics
AP Bio
AP Chem
AP Physics AB
AP Physics C
Space Science (AKA the science class for rejects.)
Earth Science
I took/am taking the best sciences (Bio, Chem/AP Chem, Physics) in my school... And an AP will E.S. really be that much help in college? o.O
I will give a hint.
Spike Lee graduated form this high school.
John Dewey High School?
I never heard of it because I live in Queens.
Just out of curiosity, is your HS near Avenue L 11230 or something.. o.o
Actually my grades are higher than this.
My school is going through ALOT of changes they are converting the letter grade system to averages for all seniors at the moment. I put grades at the worst case scenerio that they screw up that badly... Which they did for the scheduling in our school ._.
These are the worst grades I will get. (the 55 with E.S. is a definite however.)

Oh cool. What HS do you go to? lalala
I will give a hint.
Spike Lee graduated form this high school.
at my local university its like 93 minimum average for science
Considering you only broke the 90% barrier a single time, you need to try harder. Not all those grades are bad, but overall you have big room for improvement
I'll just hold myself back and say you have a fair amount of room for improvement.
Yep!
I think you need Earth Science
Do you live in NY?
Yep!
