There is no way to prove the west is intentionally doing that. The fact remains that there is extensive R&D going into curing Malaria, Aids, and Ebola and many other diseases in Africa. There would be no point for keeping Africa powerless as it hurts the global economy as a whole. Companies such as Google are basically giving Africa free infrastructure so the future will have an entirely new continent of producers/consumers.

There have been over 100 conflicts in Africa in the last 50 years. Things are beginning to slow down with Africa embracing technology and forming the African Union. But things are still going to be rough for them in the future. To those that blame the west for hindering Africa with colonization and slavery. Yes it obviously did hinder them, but they have advanced just as much from western influence. The west created the roads, railroads, airports, mines, oil industry, canals, electricity, and much more for Africa. Not to mention the surge of medical science to cure the diseases that plague Africa. At this very moment France is helping Mali from losing their country to Islamist terrorists. Africa receives by far the most charity in the world from developed countries. A successful Africa will benefit the entire world, that is why it has been a global effort to help them.

In almost all cases, the only reason for the backstabbing and disconfort was to benefit themselves directly or indirectly from the Europens.

The French took some parts of Vietnam and Spaniards took over some of Philippines.

Well if you look at where he was born, raised and lived he could have been tanned (brown) but I don't know about him being black.
Maybe dark tanned if he stayed out in the sun playing with the local kids during his childhood years maybe then dark tanned.

The state of Africa is in the hape it's in because of mostly European imperialization.
Australia is a result of European imperialization.
The only thing left is Asia which has somewhat been able to stand its ground, but alot of 'today' is thanks to imperialization.
