Pdr past 100%?

Paladin Forum Talk about Page, White Knight and Paladin

DiSTiNgUiSH1 Level 203 Bera Paladin
I've recently finished up transposing my sw maul and I want to put a pdr neb on it. I'm wondering if pdr past 100% is worth buying a neb for.

Don't paladins ignore boss defence, making pdr useless?

Elemental* but they do technically ignore a lot of PDR anyway with 50% "pdr" decrease from Threaten hyper. I wouldn't go with another PDR neb, important skills like Blast ignore a heck ton of PDR.

I heard there's a threaten stacking glitch right now, too. I had 100% pdr, but when I jumped to 160%, it helped in every way

I don't know anything about warrior classes but I can tell you that 100% PDR and over is impossible now. Nexon switched to a multiplicative formula so I'd say if you already have a bunch it wouldn't be worth it unless you got it cheap and would be fine defusing it for a boss neb.

Unless I'm missing something, it can be done.

Think a RA weapon: 10% PDR
40% + 30% PDR in potential
21% PDR (A) neb

is 101% from 1 source, meaning that is pretty much 100% PDR.

I've yet to see a 40 + 30, but I've had a 30 + 30 PDR on my wep before.

@Chuta: You're adding. Not multiplying. The new system is multiplicative not additive like is used to be.

I believe you add if it's from the same source ie. same weapon

@Chuta:

"Can someone explain to me how PDR is going to stack in the future? IIRC, PDR stacks additively, so if I have, lets say, a 15%PDR weapon and a 15%PDR skill, I would have 30%PDR, correct?

More accurately, currently you ignore 30% PDR. So on a 50% PDR boss, you ignore 30% = -15% = 35% PDR left.
After Unlimited, the same boss will have (50%) * (1-.15) * (1-.15) PDR left, or 36.125% PDR left.
It's not a huge shift unless you ignore 100% now, because you'll never be able to ignore all PDR with Unlimited's formula.
I think a typical person would have around 20% PDR left on say Empress post-Unlimited, when they ignore 100% of her PDR now.
This figure only increases on the bosses with even higher PDR% (Chaos PB, 180%, Chaos RA, 300%, etc)."

Yes you are correct, however your definition of "source" is mistaken. Each equipment/weapon may have up to 4 sources:

1) Located directly on the weapon
2) Regular Potential
3) Bonus Potential
4) Nebulite

Each of these sources are also combined multiplicatively with secondary weapons, skills, set effects, etc.

As a side note, you also cap at a 90% PDR rate multiplicatively.
