Relationships at a young age = experience, training you up!

I just don't think kids should have such high expectations from young relationships.
It's a good learning experience though. I learned a lot from dating in high school.

High school couples usually break up in college.

Find a wifey in college.

That's completely fine.
My best friend dated this guy in freshman year, broke up after a year and got back together. They're still together now in their second year of college. I saw how much she grew up from it (she used to depend on me so much -sobs-).
Of course, not all relationships in that age range will be like that, but it's still fine.
Geez... dating doesn't automatically mean sex, and like I always say - if the foundation of your relationship is physical stuff, you're doing it wrong

Yes, the age gap can be a bit much, but the average difference between married couples is three years. So think about it
Thank you for agreeing with me and many others.
I believe relationship is build on trust and respect

Onto the topic at hand, I don't see anything wrong with dating at a young age as long as it's casual and fun. It's a great confidence booster and kind of "warms you up" for future relationships. Well, that is, if you don't think the person you're with is the one

@TheMo: Thinking about it they probably will, they just won't do it.
@TheMo: Yes I understand that, but realistically you aren't going to have 13-16 year olds going at it. Its pretty hard to get enough time on your own.
thats what I was thinking too, I dont think 13,14 yr olds are gonna think bout coitus (well not usually)
How is abstinence going to stop hormones?
I believe she( or he, mercedes confuse me) meant you have to control your self and not let your hormones get the best of you

If they date around that age they probably won't have any serious relationships so I don't really see the purpose in it if you're just going to fling yourself around with people meaninglessly. 13 year olds are only just discovering their own identity let alone another person. Please date when you intend to get married. Saves you from a lot of grief and other problems.

I dated someone when i was 13, didn't mean much at all. But when I was around 16-17 I started dating the girl I'm still with 2 years later
@TheMo: A 13-year old dating a 16 year-old is just.. way too young in my opinion.

They should at least wait it out. Before they'd undergo coitus, because who knows ; anything could happen. I'd prefer to prevent it and support abstinence.
The reading comprehension is strong in this one....

And also, why do you assume that dating= intercourse. Come on now, there is certainly more to it than that.

Forgive me if I was unclear, I didnt mean coitus. I meant like hugging, cuddling, kissing. Not coitus

Practice for when they're older. nothing will come out of it, but at least it will give them an idea of what to do and what not to do for future relationships.
