If I were to lock one line of Potential on Epic and I cube it, would that lock it from hitting unique/legendary?

If I were to lock one line of Potential on Epic and I cube it, would that lock it from hitting unique/legendary?

As the majority says, I'm probably gonna cube to Unique and hopefully get what I want C:

I wish I could slap you through the internet, you called them an idiot but you have no idea what you're talking about.
Zhelm is 2nd tier so the lines on unique would be 2%/4% all stats, 4%/6% LUK/INT/DEX/STR and yes it can go up, it would just save that line, 3%/6%/9% is on 3rd tier.

the way i did it was if i had less than 10 cubes, and 10 pot locks i used a pot lock on whatever %dex i could get, that way even if i got nothing good, i at least got some %dex

that's ideal, yes, but again it is possible to pot lock at epic and it still transition to unique
do NOT use potential lock until its unique...
once its unique, pray you get a primary stat (if you're looking for dex%) on line 2 or 3. (9%dex on line 2/3 on a tier 3 item)

So you CAN Lock and still cube, but the question is, can you raise the potential level?

my empress hat
my gloves
my HTP
my overall both new and current
and my cape >_>

can't tell if trolling..or just a moron lol if you're serious, then you've never used potential locks and you're wasting everyones time by trying to say anything.
it will, and if you can afford it, you should lock 6% epic stats-i've noticed it's poissble to get up to 15% stat on an epic item because you can get 6% 6% 3% (which for some reason has happened to me when locking a 6% stat line)

cant use locks after legendary

An item that has 4% epic(tier 2) can't have 9% unique(tier 3), those are two completely different tiers, so that scenario doesn't really make sense. First poster is correct although I wouldn't use it on an epic line anyway.
