Hey man hang in there. You will make friends. Don't give up man. Remember this, there will ALWAYS be someone who would KILL to be in your shoes. However, I do feel your pain because it's all a matter of perspectives. From your perspective, being social is a huge struggle. Also, when you talked about the computer engineering I truly can relate. This is because my parents want me to be a doctor, and you know what I can get good marks but honestly after tests I forget everything. Just find something you love to do. And continue youtube. It's a great community with understanding people. Don't give up man, take one day at a time. If you want someone to talk pm me. I'll definitely listen and maybe give you advice.

Edit: another thing is, one way to cope with this is to find someone else with problems similar to you or with a situation worse than yours. Give them advice and talk with them.

Hey man, everybody's uncomfortable at the beginning. Very few people are personable enough to where they can talk to strangers comfortably. You just have to go with the flow and hope for the best. The fact that you've had friends before means that you're capable of communicating enough to be reasonably liked.

Just hang in there, it'll all work out eventually.

I have anxiety too so I can relate a bit but it's more that I feel physically uncomfortable when I go out. I always try to disregard it and eventually it goes away. Sometimes I have to sit down and ask myself what the heck is making me so uncomfortable and if I can't find a good reason I calm down faster.
Perhaps you should find help? You sound like you could be a college student and if you are, your school most likely have resources for you.
