Corporate America Pls I was really hungry tonight after a long day of doing nothing so I was thinking about what to buy for dinner (I have nothing in the house atm). I remembered that McDonald's exists. Despite the harsh weather, I made the trip all the way there by foot -- driven by the thought of tasty McChickens. I walk to the register and give my usual order: a large number 4 with sweet tea and a McChicken. I only had 10 dollars with me but I didn't think anything of it because $10 always covered the cost. NOPE! The total went up to $10.48. A look of shock quickly took over my face as I looked up and saw that the McChicken was priced at $1.79. RIP in peace $1 McChicken. :~(
One of My Math Teachers Is Heartless I have a Russian lady for my math class that's an intro to mathematical proofs class. This woman is an animal. Not only does she give us negative points on questions and laughs in our faces when we don't know how to do a problem in class, but the average for our midterm lowered. This means she went through all the papers, realized she gave some people too many points, and lowered their grades. I mean, I'm not complaining because my grade stayed the same, but damn. It's crazy. The test was out of 30 and the new average is 17.3, when before it was 18.2. I got a 23, which is like a B+/A-. My Friends Are Going to Make Me Poor I just came back from an AMAZING Baltimore trip with some high school friends. I learned a lot of things on this trip; one of which is that my friends are extremely generous tippers. Out of the group, I'd say I was the most economically secure out of all of us but I'm also the only one without a job. Anyway, they expected me to tip 33%. Are you serious? Is this real life?
