This is just discouraging. Keep getting called a weak noob:
Everywhere I go, I always get some idiot making fun of my mage. They either say that i got crap dmg, or that I'm a noob and that my job is a pointless piece of crap.
This sucks because at lv113, I hit around 30k on avg(My max in the range is about 47xx with Med), and I can clear a map of KSers when they invade my training sessions with Mist, but still, I always get made fun of even though I don't say anything.
I tend to ignore it, because usually I always find a way to fight off these idiots, but after repeatedly getting criticized by so many different people, it starts to get discouraging to keep going forward on a mage. I don't feel bad about it at first, but then I get a major emo depressive moment when I realize that for most of the time, I'll always be a solo-class since I have nothing to offer for a party. I'm only invited to parties when it's a full map, and the other people have no option to invite me or else they lose out on a section of the map's mob.
Is this the same for all of us? Or is it just me? ( ._. )

lol, they know they cant take you on (ks war) so they simply try to put you down so they can feel like they didnt completely lose.
Also, I mean... I actually get a kick out of stuff like that and start lol'ing xD. The feel of being threatning to someone else is awesome , or atleast in maple. Thats y I just loved to kick people off my jester maps while I was 8x cuz i could make them feel like poo
You can clear a map faster then other people, thats why they won't party you. You'd be getting all the exp. o:
I'm sure its a class things, especially now after the big bang. Training areas nearly all completely crowded so that fact that you can hold a map all by yourself is pretty threatening. The Maple community isn't exactly the nicest, from my experience when they don't get their way they start bickering. Just ignore it, and play your class with pride.
The KSing part i believe for the pre-4th job levels(not sure how it would be afterwards).
Mist pretty much secures my maps from people trying to invade it, so that's a huge safety feature for my XP gain. I'm pretty satisfied with my dmg too.
I don't KS on purpose, but Explosion's range gets annoying when in a crowded map. It's a positive, and at the same time it's a negative. People tend to gang up on me and I'm forced to assume the KS role to defend my spot.
I've gotten used to this, but still, all the haters make me feel like my job is crap. I love my mage, and I see nothing wrong with it yet, but after getting repeatedly insulted when I'm training alone or in a popular map, it starts to get to you ._.
Nobody invites me to parties even though I can clear maps faster than them. The few that do usually replace me when somebody else passes by.
Anyways, just wanted to know if this a problem on my side, or if it's a class thing.
Don't get discouraged. People are either probably jealous of your damage or they just have nothing else to say. Just ignore it, really.
