Why is it unhealthy to hate certain people?

I'm finally about to go into my senior year of high school in a few days. I've been bullied three full years straight non-stop by the same people making my school life into a living hellhole every SINGLE day. I can expect ANOTHER year of it also. My dad said it's not healthy to have hatred for these people because I may react in a negative way. I only hope bad things happen to these people... I'm not really the one who is going to start a fight just so I can get kicked out or suspended from school. Just thinking about these people makes my blood boil and so pissed. I get even more angry because the very few people I told takes it as a joke and laughs. It hurts because I can't do anything in my situation for school. I can't help not getting so pissed off at these people because of all that they have done to me.

Why is it so unhealthy to hate these people after all they did to me, if I'm not going to physically try to do anything negative... ._.

I got bullid allot when i was young (like 3-5 years ago) but i always stood up for myself and fought back. There was this one time, break was just over and i went to the cooler to drink water, then this guy that hates me went like, "let me drink first man look how swety i am" and try to push his way to the cooler before me. I pushed him out of the way and he was like "HEY!" but he didnt do anything, i literaly laughed at him. Bro most bullys are cowerds!

No, it is unhealthy to keep the anger within, so you need another substance that can drain out the anger. otherwise, you'd snap and do unwarranted things.

One thing you could do, is to join up martial arts like kickboxing.
The exercise will help you release your anger, and you'd feel a bit better knowing that you can go screw them over when ever you can.

And I know that darn feeling when you can't do anything about it. It gets worse when you grow up and get stuck with crappy co-workers

Okay, bro.
I CAN'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. WHY ELSE DO YOU THINK I'M SO PISSED OF?

I had some people in high school that I absolutely hated. As in, my blood pressure would go through the roof every time I saw them, every presentation I did included some way to bash them or make fun of them, and I would ostracise any friend of mine that decided to be friends with them also. My grades also suffered in those classes because of my inability to focus. Guess what? Those bastards followed me to college. Now I have to learn to just ignore them, but I had to switch out of classes that they were in which cost money this time around. Get over it now and you won't have to suffer like I did.
I don't blame you for having hatred towards whoever you're talking about, but know that you're the better person and as the better person you shouldn't wish negativity on them even though you have every right to, don't stoop to their level, plus if you really dislike these people, they're not worth the time for you to be hating on them, do something else to put them in their place.
This. And you could try to avoid those bullies as much as you can.

Results: Broken arm and horribly bruised face.
Does that mean stop? Keep fighting back. I'm sure they'll get bored of you if all you want to do is fight when they mess with you.

@LowWillpower I won't start a fight or anything like that, like I stated in my mini paragraph/rant.
That kind of anger usually leads to violence anyways, sometimes uncontrolled. If you get too worked up, you can snap.

It's unhealthy to harbour so much stress and negative emotion.

And they still bully me so...

You could pop one day and seriously hurt somebody. Take some action.

You end up wasting so much time and energy that can be used on something else.

IDK man, anger towards people that pick on you makes violence like 10x more likely.
