should i make a gunslinger or a bandit?

They sound like fun classes, i played them ages ago tho but im scared that they are insanely underpowered with all these new classes, corsair looks fun with their ship, but i hardly see them around at all, and they look REALLY weak, once i saw a level 100 corsair training on the other side of my map... he didnt hit 10k.... bandit is a bit more popular, has a pretty strong midnight slash or w/e its called and i see millions of them at MP3, so it looks like a pretty viable decision, which one is stronger or more fun to play? I dont want to waste me time training to 3rd job just to see that the class is really weak
