Deuteronomy 13:6-12
If your own full brother, or your son or daughter, or your beloved wife, or you intimate friend, entices you secretly to serve other gods, whom you and your fathers have not known, gods of any other nations, near at hand or far away, from one end of the earth to the other: do not yield to him or listen to him, nor look with pity upon him, to spare or shield him, but kill him. Your hand shall be the first raised to slay him; the rest of the people shall join in with you. You shall stone him to death, because he sought to lead you astray from the Lord, your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, that place of slavery. And all Israel, hearing of this, shall fear and never do such evil as this in your midst.
TLDR: We give the death penalty to atheists, pagans, liberals, muslims, communists, and gays. It is so ordered by God.
Isn't that the God of the Old Testament?

I think you guys (USA) should look at the reasons for why you have one of the highest crime rates in the world before discussing what kind of punishment they should have...

Keep it! It is PROVEN that most killers, or people who do things to others' bodies (trying not to say the word which will get me banned here) will NEVER get rid of those urges!

This is one issue I'm completely indifferent on.

Well not really, depending on the person you're dealing with.

I don't like the death penalty. I don't like how the solution to our problems is to kill off anything that's bad; what makes us any different than the one committing the crime?
Well, I was just trying to find an example. Really any large scale stuff that didn't really kill anyone, but was still a really severe crime. Like, if someone stole all the money from the US treasury or something lol

Death penalty to those who murdered someone or something large scale like a big bank robbery. Torture/concentration like camps to mass murderers, serial killers and others who also torture people for their own amusement.
A BANK ROBBERY? Wat? lol.

For truly heinous crimes where there is no doubt to the guilt, sure.
