General

it is simple:

if you want be solo and unfunded doing good dmg, go F/P
with poison stacking and ME you can hit cap more easily than a BaM

if you want to go with empress and other bosses with low funding, or have very high/godly funding, go BaM
they choose me because of my aura buffs for boosting the dmg of whole pt.
20% dmg is to funded people, who do empress runs weekly/daily, similar dmg buff like an onyx apple or even better (depending on their range)
as a BaM, i never died for drain+twister instantly heals myself full, bodyboost give nice avoid (80%, pretty much unexpected for a mage). i only die rarely with seduce + 1/1 + dmg combo
when godly funded, BaM turns to be the best mage with its fast hits and no cooldown hyperskills

Bams will have highest dps for mages post hypers. They are superior bossers compared to the other mages (High defense, High hp, Iframes, status resist) I've played them all and when it comes to bossing and survival none of the other mages come close.

I'd say F/p is a better choice for bossing and training.
If you could fund a BaM to do 100k / line of finishing blow, F/p's could probably do 350k+ with paralyze.
Also, if you have a Mihile, that practically gives you 100% Stance full time.

Another question.
If none of BaM's skills are glitched, would BaMs be better?

Character Card works fine for me o.o

F/P makes awesome burst damage at 4th job. 2320%x8 ONLY factoring in Amplification and 5 DoTs
