question about army
can you request to be chaptered out of the army? I'm currently in AIT for a military intel job, but long story short- I want out. I'm going up to my company commander tomorrow to talk about it, but I don't really know how it'll go. Is being chaptered out of the military something that I can even request? I brought it up to my platoon sergeant, and she wanted me to talk to the commander, which is what I'm doing tomorrow.

If you signed a paper stating that you need to do "X" years of service, no, you can't quit.
