Maple using 100 Cpu

Every now and then, Maple hops my CPU usage up to like 100% and makes my computer almost completely unusable. I've tried limiting maple to just a couple of my cores, but the game remains incredibly laggy. Is there something I can do to deal with this? For reference, my processor is a i7-2600, so i know I don't need a better cpu.

If it were indeed a hardware problem, why would I have no problem playing other, much more intensive games?

my amd 8350 never goes above 10% when i run MS you may have bad ram.

Thats so odd a 16 gb i7 getting to 100%? Sounds like hardware defect to me if anything that the previous people suggested didn't work/irrelevant because I run a i5 and never go above 20% of CPU usage while running MS + multiple other programs.

did you try redownloading?

are you sure it isn't a hardware error?
my toaster has a intel duo -blahbalg (2ghz) and 4gb of ram.
and Ms doesn't take more than 50% of the cpu usage (with chrome open)
Well It indeed puzzles me that an I7 would go haywire like that with Maple o.o
I tried, perhaps someone else can answer more thoroughly, I'm no computer expert but I have my fair share of information.
No need to be so hostile

CPU would not function without Ram, It works along with it.
The more RAM you have the more time your CPU has to process functions at ease.
The less ram you have the more stressed your CPU becomes and increases CPU usage.
Vice-Versa with the More ram you have. More Ram = Less Stress = Less CPU Usage.

Don't believe me? Look it up how CPU and RAM work together.
If you have bad ram sticks or low amount of ram your CPU is going to struggle.
It may not be completely relevant but it surely is something that needs to be considered.

yeah , I could not help but to respond lmao, even after I stated that I wouldn't.. jeez I'm stubborn.

@Above : I'm just telling you that the possible solutions you are giving me are irrelevant, because it is not a RAM issue, nor is it a cleanliness issue. And I'm fairly sure this is an issue with maple, because I've never run into a problem like this using this computer for anything else
@Above : What are you talking about? Maple is taking up all of my available CPU power, not my RAM. I'm on 16gb of ram, but that isn't relevant at all. And for the last time, my computer is totally clean, with no heat or malware problems.
We're clearly trying to help you here.
We've given you a variety of options and possibilities but you still expect us to fix your PC 100%? >_>
Talk about Ungrateful.

This is why I dislike trying to help people, they bring on their little attitude when you can't solve their problems for them.
I'm done here lmao.
Goodluck with your PC.
Open up your laptop or PC and clean out the dust from the fan. You may have to unscrew the fan. You'll have a loose fan with a wire attached to it. Do not remove wire.
I removed a thick 2cm wall of dust from my fan.

I had the same problem as you. 100% CPU is reached because components in the harddrive heat up.
This is good advice.
And also.. always before opening up a PC or Laptop.. Be sure you're on wooden surface or any hard surface away from Carpet.
PC Components are very sensitive to static shock which builds up when you walk around carpetted areas mainly.

You can use gloves(I tend to get some latex gloves which work fine, preventing your sweat/moisture from going onto the components) or anti-static wristbands(they sell these) as a precaution.
Limit Cipher? In task manager Maple is the only process using massive amount of CPU..

And whoever is saying malware/hardware problems, I can guarantee there are none.
At the most Maple would take 800,000K
I've had My browser with just Facebook open run 1,000,000k at one point >_>

800k is not that much in terms of usage(for a game).. especially with the I7
Depends on how much ram you got really..
If you have a lot of Ram available, anything 800k or under shouldn't be much of a concern from MS

Double check your Ram sticks to see if they're functioning properly..
It is rather odd that an I7 is struggling with Maple.

Try getting a better cooling system for your PC?
Scan your PC for malware as previously stated..
CPU possibly defective?

It could be a variety of reasons but one thing is for sure, MS itself isn't TOO demanding, an I7 is far more capable of handling it at Ease. So either your hardware is going bad or your PC is really stuffed with open processes(Which Gamebooster can help here if you don't know which ones to shut down).

Get Gamebooster, that can help out by cutting off processes not needed during gaming.
