Getting Better Potential
I heard some rumors that having a higher trait ability (I think it was insight) grants better potential on items and that using the most expensive Magnifying Glass also gives a better chance of better/ high rank potential. Is any of this true/ if not are there any ways of getting better potential on items or are they all random?

Potentials are set when you pick up the item from monsters, not when you reveal them.
really? I use the magnifying glass that corresponds to the level
Neither of those are true. High level Insight allows you to create your own Magnifying Glass however, depending on how high it is.
