There isn't a "body" body part... Only tail, legs, 2 arms, wings, and 3 heads.
You no longer have to wait for drops. I believe this was changed in v.150

all you need to do is blow em up, there's not really much steps needed to solo horntail.

They've changed it so you don't have to wait 30 minutes anymore in the most recent patch.

You no longer have to wait for drops. So nice now I dont have to wait around for 28+minutes. Thank god for I think it was this patch it was put into effect.

First, you make sure that you are alone in the room, second you attack him till he dies, third, make sure that noone is around to steal your loot, 4th succeed in soloing horntail

@ltachifire: Back when Horntail was released, hackers went in and instant-killed it for drops.
They implemented the 30 minute wait so that hackers still have to spend a lot of time if they wanted drops.
That was pretty much the reason.

Why do you have to wait?

After you got all the items for the quest ''Making the secret medicine for transformation'' and handing in the quest you will get transformed into one of those green lizards.
Then you jump down and you'll get teleported by the npc. Once inside there you'll have to do HTPQ with 5 other people or get someone to taxi you in there if they got a ''Certificate of the dragon squad''. After that just make an expedition with 5 other people (they don't have to be in the map, just the expedition), go in and enjoy ^_^

the guides aren't outdated because it's been the same way since forever.

Yeah, I should've been more specific. I meant this. I'm most certain I've completed all the prequests but I'm confused as to how to get into HT lair etc.
