Why does everyone hate Nexon so much?

I've been looking at how everyone is complaining about Nexon, but I don't really see what they do wrong. Yes, I agree that their customer service is crap, but can you imagine how many tickets they get each day and how many of the tickets are actually legitimate (like maybe 50% or so with the other half being fakes/people saying useless things like "fk u nexon&quot. People also say that they just copy KMS code into their version and that they should check for glitches and code more. But coding isn't as simple as bippity boppity boo, it takes a lot of testing (which frankly, the GMS team doesn't have enough testers to find the glitches that the public does). They probably do change a lot of the code and fix some bugs before it gets released, it's just that some of the bugs get through.
Another thing that people say is that Nexon should focus on patching hacks. The thing is, Nexon DOES patch hacks. It's just that the hacking community just goes down for several days and then comes out with a patched hack that gets past the patch that Nexon makes. It's just not worth having to repatch something every few days so people don't bot when it doesn't effect the player's experience that much (besides the economy and botters getting popular training spots).
(Sorry there's no Nexon forum)

It's hard to notice this game's flaws until you play another game.

Maplestory is created in a way that allows its players to manipulate the game's files from their home computer. Most games do not allow this sort of thing, since it leads to abuse.
Most games can restore stolen items after an account is compromised. Nexon has stated that they cannot do this.
Most games are secure, meaning players won't have to worry about losing their accounts in the first place. Nexon experiences leaks regularly, refuses to tell their player base, and even blames said player base when their accounts happen to be compromised.
Most games have competent in-game moderators who understand their players' concerns. Nexon's GMs have actually been compromised by average players due to their own incompetence; one GM accidentally gave his account information to an entire server, prompting a user to log into the account before the information was changed.
In most games, a GM's appearance is not a once-in-a-lifetime event.
In most games, crashing every hour is unheard of. Maplestory crashes when you change channels; it crashes when you log out to pick a new character; it crashes when there are too many skills going, even though it's just a 2D game; etc.
In most games, using a mount doesn't lag everyone else in the map.
In most games, players can search through a market for any item they want, free of charge. Nexon charges its players for a market search function.
In most games, players can transfer items to each other using an item trading system. Nexon removed Duey, and chose to ignore the fact that most players have multiple accounts.
In most games, players can set up shops to sell their goods, free of charge. Nexon charges its players to obtain a shop permit, and then it forces its players to search for an empty lot to set up their store. Then, depending on the kind of store they purchased, they're forced to keep this unstable game running/online, lest their shop close.
In most games, players cannot disconnect other players, or entire servers, at will. In maplestory, these kinds of things happen all the time; hell, they've occurred for years.

Most games with this many recurring issues would be shut down until the issues were resolved. Nexon keeps the game running, ignoring most of those problems.

I'm not bitter or pessimistic. You wanted reasons; I've given them to you in spades.

People hate Nexon because this is the internet. You're not going to convince anyone otherwise.
