I'm a really big fan of warm images.
Originally this was just a sketch for my Sketch-a-Day (hence why the lines are sketchy and rough), but I felt like experimenting with painting styles and color. I still don't know how tree shadows work though. ~1hr30min.

since no one said it yet, THEM THIGHS!
Beautifully done.
That said, did anyone else notice that the thumbnail for this image on the mainpage looks like a furry giving birth to a dark turquoise baby?

I wud pay $1000 for dat painting
It's great!
Mouth looks a bit strange in my opinion, but it other than that i think it's wonderful
Left elbow too low, otherwise it looks really nice
boi dis isnt warm
Sorta reminds me of Asuna in the 2nd part of SAO.
Ffffff I love this splotchy-paintey style so much. Experimenting never gives me these type of results. @___@
@Pavchka I know what you mean. I'd never made a custom brush in SAI and I notice that while you can change a lot of settings it's still pretty limited in getting the effect you want. ;_; Oh well, you do what you can I guess.
@Rationale It has been a weak point of mine. Especially in perspective, I normally get the necks off.
Besides this image is a whole bucketfull of SHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAFT so it was tough.
That face... no words can describe <3
Yeah, it was meant to be the stockings. I was lazy and rushing. ;_;
Thanks! I was really hoping for that feel! It was a custom brush I made in SAI, essentially a hard square brush with no size change and blending capabilities turned on. I've been meaning to practice a more painterly feel and learn about colors, and I felt this brush was perfect to try with.
Nice! I've been trying to do some watercolour colouring in SAI but I'm having troubled with all the brushes being either round or oddly shaped. Importing custom brushes into SAI isn't easy.
I think that's skin, and the grey parts after that are stockings or boots.
This picture has a wonderful, peaceful feel to it. Which brush did you use?
I wish I could sit down on a bench right now and enjoy the sun. Sadly its 7 degrees Fahrenheit with a windchill below zero. Walking to class is not going to be fun =/.
Reminds me of spring! but whats with the yellow part right after her dress on her thighs or soemthing
Feels like watercolour mixed with actual digital painting. Good job.
