Is there any point in using triple shot?
I find that I do more damage with ricochet to even single mobs. Is there any reason to use triple shot?

Yes but there is more than just damage per hit. Cast speed and critical could play a role in overall damage. Though as it stands now I think I'll just use ricochet.
