Thief

A returning thief lover, looking for tips

So i just returned to maple story after a 2 or 3 year break, with 2m my name, but some decent enough gear, i have a level 152 shad, and a 151 db and a few other link skill mules but these two and my aran are the only characters it seems like i put any effort to get geared, my +26 att storm caster gloves were deleted when i logged on which was quite demoralizing but i decided i could do without them since they were a luxury anyhow, while i was on my way to ToT i met a demon slayer who sold me these dimension gloves for 1.5m which looked very good to me stat wise but then he told me they were barely worth 200k and flew off with the majority of my cash. i think i have 34% luk all added up from the gear on my db, should i sell some things from that and hope to make some money from that gear or should i go farm, or what,?

Are shadowers and db's still decent enough classes to play, have the play styles changed immensely? with such low funding as mine are they worth continuing? i reach abou 23k range buffed on db, 34k on shad, which of the two is more promising to continue or should i reroll as say a xeneth or kaiser( two new clases that caught my eye the most), are there any friendly people in scania that would like to show me the ropes once more? alright that is all, have a good day you lovely thieves

Gollux is a boss with 4 difficulties. This boss is the ticket for the unfunded to get somewhat funded. A somehwat long quest line in order to enter, but well worth.
Charging final cut gives you the 60% dmg buff that is MANDATORY for dbs to do decent damage. If you don't charge the gauge fully, you're not going to get the 60% dmg buff.
Would my shadower or my db be better suited to run gollux? I don't think I have % boss dmg unless its a set effect for empress set, but I think I Have 29k buffed on db and 34 is on shad,

even though NL is boring, you have the easiest time doing most bosses like gollux without much effort
Whats a gollux? Question regarding final cut, what does charging it do

@AfroAmerican: I would tell you to play the one you enjoy but that seems awfully cliche in the forums nowadays. In the end, it's an overall risky maneuver to sell your equipment as a future investment since we just don't know when the prices will settle back down (and how it will contrast with your patience). Just make sure you think through this decision thoroughly before you act on it.

Although if you do decide to sell your equipments, you could always use this situation as an excuse to acquire character cards + link skills that you're lacking. Just a thought.
@AfroAmerican: I would personally sell the equips to those who are investing in NW so you can take advantage of the inflation. That way, if you decide on returning to one of your thieves, you can cash in for better equipment (Once everything deflates back to standard pricing). Although that's just how I would approach this. It all depends on whether or not you're interested in NW.
im having alot of fun on my dual blade, which is a shame because thats where all the gear in question is held on, i dont think night walker rework looks too great aside from the bats, i suppose. but i dont know how long ill be able to be that weak, waiting for deflation in prices..maybe i could level a kaiser..
I'm no expert but based on what I've read off of these forums, Shadowers would be your preferred class to play with your current funding since Dual Blades apparently take a crap ton of funding to even deal decent damage.

Well, I'll leave it to the other commenters to correct me if I'm mistaken.

EDIT: But overall, with the Night Walker revamp arriving, it'll be difficult to further fund either characters since the price tags on Luck equipment will heavily inflate.
so should i wait until the rework hits and transfer the gear to it, or sell it to people that are?
