On task manager, make sure maplestory.exe is closed when tempting to run maple.
If not, I had similar problem on a newer computer of mine just a few days ago... To fix I simply had to install all the many many updates windows had.
Otherwise, I suppose redownloading. ;o
delete maplestory

ive tried that multiple times
run the patcher in the maple folder as admin, then try again?
