Drk Nerfs incoming?

I just got back to the game, and decided to level a Dark Knight over a Paladin because of nostalgia of seeing Drks way back when.

Upon visiting Basil again I see some comment that Drks are going to get a big nerf (maybe paladins too?). Is this true? If so, what are the nerfs, and how much will it effect the classes.

Thansk!
@ajfunny44: The nerf coming to DrKs aren't major and imo very appropriate. DrKs are a bit too strong atm.

Paladins however are going to get nerfed HARD since they are removing elemental resist ignore from them. All end game bosses like Cygnus have physical resist so that classes that don't have an elemental resist ignore will have their damage automatically halved. Paladins are one of the few classes that enjoyed the luxury to do full damage to bosses (disregarding the bosses' PDR), but since it'll be removed, their damage will be halved like I just mentioned.

Oh and Blast's hit count is getting decreased by 1 as well.
post nerf, a dark knight with 50% buff duration has less total duration of gungnir, than a current DrK without any buff duration. the DrK nerf was also obscene.

not as obscene as losing half your damage against every important boss though, i'll give you that, but don't underestimate the DrK nerf.

They need to make our eye more appealing to keep alive. Seriously, once it gives us hex, we're like 'Thank you slave. I will now proceed to eat you.'
Not quite true. There are a few classes that benefited, if however slightly from that patch. Kaisers got buffed fairly slightly, as did I/L mages and a few others. It's just DrKs, Pallies, and Paladins that got slammed fairly hard by it.
Pallies and Paladins, huh

I just hope another bossing skill comes in fifth job that doesn't require you to use sacrifice >.<

So, pretty much every class gets a nerf in one way or another, and you max out skills at 140. The thinking is that 5th job will follow at 140. This recently hit KMS, so it's 6 months out from here, and they could very well change it by the time it hits here, or they could combine the nerf with 5th job, so it's no longer a nerf. No one really knows.

I found this on orangemushroom:

"Dark Knights with 50% or higher buff duration boosts could always use Gungnir Descent without a cooldown. Our concept for it was to be a strong damaging skill which is not always available to use. In addition, Cross Over Chains gave way too much damage.

Beholder: cooldown has been increased from 60 seconds to 70 seconds
Cross Over Chain (cross surge): total damage boost has been decreased from 100% to 80%
Sacrifice: duration has been decreased from 40 seconds to 30 seconds"
