What class? Just got back

Hey all,

Took a hiatus from the game and want to know what class to play. Currently I got a Drk with about 2m-2m range buffed. I wouldn't say I'm bored with my 193 Drk, but kind of want to just have a refresher. What class would you guys recommend playing that's fun and strong? I have a lot of equips that I wouldn't mind selling to fund a new char if I end up liking it. It doesn't have to be a warrior class either. Anyone think I should stick with a drk?

Thoughts and suggestions?

You have 2 classes in your branch and 1 cygnus that utilize a 1hsword+shield combo that you can switch to. 1h sword+shield combo is relatively cheap to buy pre-cubed/scrolled and switching between Hero and Pally is costless and effortless. 2 different classes for the price of one. To switch to DW it requires psoking, re-cubing emblem and re-leveling. But you get to transfer your weapon+shield(no psok for shield is a plus) and other warrior equips which eliminates the hassle of buying new equips. DW is a great class that has ridiculous dps potential in both %s and hits-per-second and vertical jump unlike adventurer warriors. The low effort/cost required by these options make this a pretty good plan if you really need a break from your Drk.

@DongInBong: Personally you can meet quite a few people doing RnJ, other than that the only other people I generally meet are through other friends or training at SDH/FDH. What character are you generally on in-game? I personally skip faf sets until they're really necessary because I rather preserve my mesos

@DongInBong: Most guilds afk in fm anyways. For the most part, I think the potential of DrKs are after they get their hyper because of the low cool down and mob ability of it. I understand the struggle of what you mean with funding though. It does get tough and as far as I've gotten, I have a lot less money than most people think I have. At most times I'm at 50m and under. I have a lot of friends that aren't quite well off as me in terms of gearing so I try to help them out bit by bit. However, it also comes down to gearing efficiency. I don't really buy much from the FM, I generally farm all the stuff I need to make "cheap", "affordable" but "efficient" gears, that's why I tell most people to not really judge a class unless they met the criteria 1.) Played the class well after 17x 2.) Don't judge the class based on other people playing it/videos 3.) Boss/Train regularly on it, leeching there doesn't get you the experience nor the feel of the class. Generally what you should look for are a genuine group of friends that are cool to talk to, and are willing to struggle and carry one together. Sooner or later your range will range bit by bit.

@DongInBong: it's pretty easy to hit ~100-200k per line IMO but that's where most people get stuck. Not sure that I'd personally consider 100-200k "high" damage. A lot of people take than damage and go towards pointing at high damage but in actuality you're going to be hitting about 1.4m-2.4m per hit in regards to that damage in total. Lower lines that do higher damage can easily compare to this. For example my demon slayer at 50-60k range[unfunded] hits about 500k per like at 5 hits, which roughly is about the same damage. My demon avenger at even an even lower amount of hits did about 1m per line 2-3 hits, which is about 2-3m, though I've gone a long way on all these characters. At fewer hits, people don't really compare this. Again, it really comes down to funding the class you truly want to play.

I don't know what people don't take it seriously. Mihilies aren't that bad. This was said about Dawn Warriors too until a really funded one [not myself] made a video on youtube. There are misconceptions of many classes. I would recommend playing what you like and damage comes later. People generally don't believe me on this because they feel weak due to not funding properly or not wanting to work on it. Nothing comes easy/free. Thing is if you played a class you really enjoyed, you'd work to fund it better to suit your own needs. If you see something that catches your eye, go for it.
