Recommend me a laptop

Requirements:
1. first of all, IT DOESN'T NEED TO BE POWERFUL ENOUGH TO GAME WELL. I'm just using it for college. It should be fast enough to get work done.
2. considering black friday, budget under $800
3. no macbooks or chrome books
4. have at least 500GB

I know it doesn't meet your requirements, but I can't recommend the macbook air enough. Portability, reliability, and insane battery for around the same price as a pc ultrabook. I honestly can't believe I used to hate apple.

I mean, obviously if your programs aren't compatible with Mac then it's a no go, but for most college-related stuff it does what you need to do.

Get a Macbook Pro 15" w/o retina display. I got mine for $799 new-- when it was $1499 last year on Black Friday. I dropped this from the second story tumbling down concrete stairs-- and it's still alive. Also I got a snoopy decal of him eating the apple so it's gucci as aff.

This might be the one youre looking for. Runs a bit on the small side, but it has a graphics for your occasional gaming but still has the features of what I assume you'd like for your college classes, lots of space, and a good processor.
Oh my. That's a nice laptop for only $500. I'm definitely buying this if it plays league well. I've spilled water on some of my keys and on the trackpad and they either don't work or spaz out so I'm in desperate need of a new laptop.. I only wish the laptop ran windows 7 and not 8....

Buy the laptop on a date closer to when you are beginning classes.
Answer as many questions as you are willing. The information you provide will narrow down the potential computers I look at.

What country/state do you live in?
Would you like to save money or do you want to spend as much of your budget as possible?
Can you order online? If you cannot order online, what stores are around you?

What games do you play or want to play?
What other programs do you use?

Do you have a preferred laptop weight?
Do you have a preferred screen size?
Is battery life important?
Why do you need a laptop?- ideally specify your major. To where and how often will it be moved?

Mention any other special requests you may have. Be as detailed as you can with all your responses.
