Any tips on maining that one class?

Hello basil! I would just like to say that this is NOT a "Which class should i play?" thread!
I'm just looking for some tips on staying on that ONE character. I have a very bad habit of just hopping on different classes and I'm almost certain that's the reason why I keep quitting.
It's just that whenever I play and walk around, I see so many classes and I get somewhat intrigued by their skills and I end up making them... I'm not a big damage guy, but I'm not gonna lie damage does make me happy. At the moment I'm literally spending a lot of time just logging in and out of my different characters. My highest character ever is a 150 Lumi and DA and I want to be able to level higher w/o having second thoughts etc.

So basil, how can I remain on just one class?

If anything my issue is the exact opposite. I never try new characters and and I just play into get bored with my main character. I always stuck with one character and planed on what I can do long term with it.

I think it's better that you are exploring your space and trying different varieties than sticking to a main. Once you get level 200 and beyond, you'll find yourself doing the same things over and over. (Daily gollux, daily commerci, etc.)

Or maybe that doesn't bother you, and you rather be "efficient." Do whatever feels right, and don't look back.

When it comes to creating a main character, you also need support characters in the mix, which support character cards, link skills and all that good stuff. What I'm currently in the process of doing is training more than 20 characters daily. All of them are roughly the same level, around 140, and I'm getting consistent experience through bossing. The reason I am doing this is mainly to increase my link skill levels, which the next level becoming available at level 200.

When it comes to funding my characters, I am providing them with clean endgame weapons and armour, and if funds come into my possession, I will upgrade them, beginning with the characters that have the most potential damage-wise and going down the list until they are all funded.

In the same boat. I started a main but kinda quit cuz I'm busy with the holidays and stuff.. And even when I come back, I'm gonna want to make more characters because of the free character slots ;_;

This is not a restaurant where you can come the next day and try something new. It takes time to level. You just need to think of all that you could have accomplished if you stayed on one character.

It is very simple sir, just set a reasonable goal for each character you make and make sure to have them all on the same sever. That way, you can use your skill links and character cards with little to no loss. The cjs or class jumping syndrome is relatively common in players without much funding because they will also feel dissatisfied with their damage, tankiness, etc. Rather than seeing it as an issue, look at it as a potential benefit. You are willing to make multiple classes, which can lead to you eventually getting all the link skills. Just try to set a reasonable goal such as getting to link skill lv 2 on all characters and at least character card rank S. Once you have all your classes made, all there is left to do is pick and choose. If you get bored of one, just hope on another. ONE DAY they will all be skill link 3.

I'd recommend playing an explorer so you can just switch to another job without losing mesos/unreadables
By doing this, you can switch to another branch to fulfill your craving
Also if you spend your entire maple bank on a sweet water weapon, you are not very likely to abandon ship

I always set new, reasonable but challenging goals for myself.
I try to get stronger and solo the next boss in difficulty

For me, i also hop on different classes cuz skills but i never really bothered to fund a class, the way i found my class was, Ever since i started playing MS i always wanted a hero but never could so i made one and i fell in love with it at first sight its a great class i think for u, you would have to think to urself what kinda class u want a mage or do u want someone whose always on the front lines, AND u can try em all since its not hard to level at all

I have 20+ characters mainly for testing the other classes out and for cards/links.
I managed to main a bucc because It has lots of memories and I really liked what it had before the revamps. Currently at 184
I follow my rule of no funding a character below 100 unless I need their card/link badly.
My main avatar is not my main but I did for the looks.

I found Hunter when I started in Beta and I've really enjoyed every buff patch they've given. I like the way they play and they have near infinite room for improvement.

To be honest if you keep quitting then it's very clear this game just isn't for you.

The more funds you use on one character, the easier it is to stay on it. Cause the more funds you have on one character, the more costly it is to move from one main to another.
It also helps if it's a class you enjoy.
