When you are home alone, and you go to the bathroom, do you lock the door and then think, "Hey, why did I lock the door?"?

well i'm never 'alone'. My male cat is always there expressing his homosexual tendencies.
I do not have a lock on my bathroom or toilet, rather, i have locks on the entrances to my house. I don't have to worry about my own family breaking into the bathroom while someone is obviously in there.
When I'm home alone, I don't bother closing the door... mainly cuz my bedroom doors closed 24/7 and my washroom's in my bedroom.
