Hi, do you like Capitalism or Socialism more?

Please explain and discuss!

Be objective if possible!

In practice: Capitalism > Socialism, just because socialism really depends on those around you to not take advantage of the system.
In theory: Socialism > Capitalism.

I'm all for free markets, so capitalism for me.

Both systems work wonderfully, if run properly. But there are few places in the world where they are. Government corruption is often present in most examples people have to look at.
Nothing is perfect, and change is the nature of Life. So even in an ideal example of either, the potential exists for someone to take advantage or for things to go South.
The Founding Fathers of the USA emphasized constant vigilance and participating in your governing as much as possible because they knew a highly educated and aware population was necessary to keep things on the up and up, no matter what the system. Depending on which Father you're talking about, they started to see the fall of the United States from the first few elections, like George Washington emphasizing the importance of NOT forming a "two-party system" and face palming when it happened almost immediately.

When people get to just pick a side, in any issue, and have all the hard thinking done for them, they stop thinking for themselves and start either parroting or being very heavily influenced by whatever side they're emotionally committed to.
Tribal behavior, which we appear to be slowly outgrowing.

America for example, is thought of as a "Capitalist" country. But out country is not a "Free Market System", even though it's supposed to be. So it isn't what Capitalism is really supposed to be.
And so people say "THIS IS WHAT CAPITALISM IS, MILITARY INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX, IT DOESN'T WORK, DERP"
Some countries taken over in the past by Dictators or Oligarchies use the label "Socialism" despite their obvious intentions.
And so people say "HURR SOCIALISTS BELIEVE IN DICTATOR NANNY STATES"

Modern America still has one of the highest standards of living in the world, but culturally would probably be completely unrecognizable to early Americans.
In it's infancy, even though it wasn't perfect and The Founding Fathers had already seen great threats to America's future, early America was rocking it. They had an extremely healthy, rapidly growing economy. And the population was healthy, neighborly, and enterprising. Emphasizing personal responsibility. Their standard of living for their time was phenomenal.
Something happened, a lot happened actually, but it is very clear that Capitalism can make a happy, prosperous, and friendly society.
Today, some smaller European countries define their system as "Socialist" and have stable growing economies, an educated population, free healthcare, low or free tuition, and a very happy population.
Sounds like the exact ideal of what most people living in Modern "Capitalist" America want.

TL;DR
Pigeonholing is bad, m'kay?
Don't pick sides. Think. As soon as you "pick a side", you're letting someone else do your thinking for you.

Socialism but I think Socialism doesn't work on it's own and you need Capitalism to get the money to provide social facilities.
