Runtime Error

Ever since a couple of days ago I can't play due to a runtime error that shows up. I start the game like normal and for some reason a patcher comes up, and in like 3 minutes the message comes up; a problem with the game launcher it says. It's happened ever since I've installed a game in steam but that shouldnt cause this should it?
